This project was created for the unit Corporate and Public Communication Foundations at the University of Canberra. The brief was to develop a strategic campaign to increase the number of University of Canberra students who are a member of at least once club or society. Key considerations that our campaign group identified were that the sign up process for clubs and societies had pain points that needed to be addressed to encourage student signups, and that students were unaware of the many benefits that being a member of a club or society has.
As a group we developed a detailed campaign plan outlining our campaign goals and objectives, a situational analysis, identification of target publics, key messages, communication strategy, promotional tactics, implementation timeline and a proposed evaluation guideline.
Based on our campaign plan, I created a media release based on the key strategy identified and a mock up of an example social media post. In creating my media release and social media post, I focused on the benefits of social support that can be found in joining a club or society following the COVID-19 pandemic.
